Karolina creates contemporary realistic art & pop art using graphite, charcoal, oil colored pencil & mixed media on paper.
Born in Krakow, Poland, Karolina moved to Los Angeles in 2009, where she currently lives. She began drawing at an early age due to her father's influence and natural artistic ability. Mostly self taught, Karolina attended few art workshops as a teenager. After high school, while still in Poland, she earned a certificate in Makeup Artistry and Body Painting. In Los Angeles, she graduated from Animation Mentor with a degree in character animation/CGI. After graduating, she decided to return to her first love: pencil and paper.
the process:
“I combine graphite and charcoal pencils with their powder forms. Blending it with my hands, brushes, q-tips. I often use oil colored pencil, paint or even a fabric for the color pop or mixed media effect. Seeing an image appear as I draw on the paper is a surreal experience.”
“I am passionate about every detail in my artwork, and I believe that's what makes it emotional and unique. I want my art to motivate and stimulate conversation. I am inspired by the individuals I admire, and the current events in the world. I strive to bring joy and nostalgia to my audience with my colorful candy pop art”.
